Happy Turkey Day Everyone!!
Sorry I haven’t posted in awhile but things have gotten pretty busy around here.
First of all , Kiersten had her appt last week with her new pediatric neurologist in Fort Worth. It was a great visit and we really like her new doctor (Dr McGlothlin. He wants to have her admitted to Cooks County Childrens Hospital next month to run some tests (MRI and 48 continuous EEG)to see whats going on with her seizures. Her neurologist seems to think that there is some scar tissue in the back of her brain that is causing the seizures or perhaps making them worse. We’ll know a lot more after the EEG and MRI results are in. Kiersten will be in the hospital Dec 29-31, maybe longer if she has to have surgery. Feel free to email me tammy.munson@us.army.mil if you’d like to send a message to Kiersten or ask me a question!
Becca and Dan are doing great! Becca loves preschool but unfortunately is picking up some bad habits (temper tantrums LOL) from the boys there. The funny thing is she only does it when she is at our freinds house. She’s slowly getting the message that those are not ok. : )
Dan will be starting Block 9 this upcoming week so only 3 more to go before graduation in March. He is pretty excited about it all. He’s really doing well in the program.
I’ve been keeping busy as usual with my “projects”! The radio show is starting to get pretty good exposure so of course I’m happy. I actually had my first conversation with a publicist the other day and she called me to get her client on my show!! I guess we’ve hit the big time huh? (or at least heading that way) I’m very excited to say that I’m re-doing the website for RWTR and it should be up within a week or so. I’m very happy with the outcome of it… so make sure you stop by in 2 weeks to check it out. Here is the link… Republican Women Talk Radioa
Also I’m going to be hosting Army Wife Talk Radioa this upcoming week so make sure to check it out.
We had thanksgiving dinner at our house with some friends this year! It was nice to host a dinner finally. We had so much food leftover…we’ll be eating turkey probably until we move in March!
Well I better get going… Hope you had a great day! I’m so very thankful for all my readers, freinds, and family!

Happy Halloween!!!
Yes Halloween is once again upon us!! YEA!!!Although if you go into any retail store, you would swear it was Christmas.
Both kids are so excited about Halloween this year! Becca is going to be Cheer Bear and Kiersten is going to be Sleeping Beauty. I’ll be posting pictures of them later tonight or tomorrow am.
Things are pretty low key here right now.. Dan is doing well plugging along in his school for Biomedical Tech. The girls are doing great at each of their schools. My radio show is starting to get more exposure now we are officially ranked with Google & Alexa. So I’m pretty happy about that.
Here is the link to this week’s show if you would like to listen! : )
Have a great and safe time tonight!!

Hi Everyone
Well its been a busy week here in the Munson house! The biggest news is that Becca is now 4! Her birthday was yesterday, hard to belive that its been 4 years since she was born. She is growing up so fast its not even funny. We had her special birthday dinner (mac and cheese) and I made her a cake. Her party is Saturday evening here at the house and we are just inviting some friends over. It should be a great time!!
I’ve been working at Kiersten’s school pretty much all week… they are having their annual book fair right now. It’s been kind of fun getting out of the house every day but when I come home there is so much to do!! LOL
Kiersten has a neurologist appointment today and a couple of neuro tests scheduled! I’ll post sometime this weekend letting you all know how it went.
Well its time for me to be Taxi Driver again,
Have a great weekend!

Thanks to Congress and President Bush the military is getting a 3% pay raise. Personally we are very happy about that! Who doesn’t like to get more money per month? The pay raise will start Jan 1, 2006 and is for all military across the board. The military is also getting some new armor and such to fight the war on terror.
Have a great day..

Hi Everyone
Well I’m happy to say that Fall has officially arrived here in North Texas… AMEN! Now its not like fall in Minnesota but its a LOT cooler than it has been. For the last 4 days or so, its been in the 60’s and we are loving it! It’s funny though because everyone here looks like they are ready for a blizzard in MN! They are walking around with heavy winter jackets, etc. I’m sure we look pretty weird to them with us having shorts on in 60 degree temps. LOL
Things are going well here in Texas! Kiersten was having problems with her seizures but she is doing great now. Her dr put her on a new med called Lamictal and they are finally under control. Becca is doing very well in preschool and loves her new teachers and freinds.
Dan is doing really well in school and is scheduled to graduate in March 2006. As for me, the radio show is going well. We’ve gotten some good responses to it. If you haven’t listened to it… head over there and listen http://www.republicanwomentalkradio.com . For those of you with an mp3 player or iTunes you can do the podcast/RSS feed here..

I wanted to update you all on my family in New Orleans. They managed to get out of New Orleans safe and sound. They returned home about a week or so ago. My dad’s home took a lot of water but that was the extent of the damage…so they can still live there. My dad’s rental home was not so lucky.. (where I grew up) was literally cut in half when a big oak tree fell on one side of the house. My dad is still waiting to hear from the adjusters to see what they are going to do with it.
My grandmother who is currently staying with my dad… her house is pretty much done for. Her house took over 9 feet of water they are estimating. (her ceilings were only 8 feet high) The water has subsided now and they are getting her personal stuff out of the house.
Well thats about it for now.. hope everyone is well and doing ok!
Till next week -
Tammy
PS If you haven’t donated to the Red Cross http://www.redcross.org … please do so they need all the help that they can get!

Well I know its been awhile since my last post but as you all know..life gets in the way of other things sometimes. Dan has been busy with school and I’ve been working hard on the radio show as well trying to generate multiple streams of income (working from home)
The girls are doing well also. Kiersten started school 2 weeks ago and Becca starts school on Tuesday. This is her first year of preschool so she is very excited about it. I am too but also a little sad… my baby is going off to school.
LOL
Ya know sometimes life is going so well and then BOOM tragedy strikes. Yes I’m referring to the tragedy of Katrina. As many of you know I grew up in the surburbs of New Orleans and spent many years going to school, working, etc in the city of New Orleans. Now, my hometown is under water. Luckily my family were smart and fortunate enough to evacaute from the area. They are currently near Shreveport, LA and will be making their way to our home in North Texas next week.
We don’t have confirmed information about my dad’s house, his rental property or my grandmother’s home. My grandmother lived in a low-lying area of New Orleans, so we are pretty sure that the house is filled with water. It’s a shame really..my grandmother lived there for over 40 years there with my grandfather and Dad. I have many happy childhood memories of Sunday dinners there with my family. It’s really sad to think about what I remember will never will be again.
I feel for all the victims of Hurricane Katrina… New Orleans, Mississippi, Alabama. So many people are suffering…wondering where they will go and what will they do. Many more people across the United States and beyond are wondering about loved ones..where they are and are they safe?
For more readers.. I only ask 2 things of you. Please pray for all those affected by Katrina, they will need it more than you may realize. Secondly I ask is that if you can donate anything please do so. You can donate money, time, blood, clothing, water, medical supplies. They need everything and anything in that region.
Missing my home tremendously tonight..yet thankful my family is ok!

Well Dan and I found out today where our next adventure will take us… our next duty station will be Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington,DC. We won’t be going till April/May. Dan is scheduled to report at Walter Reed AMC on April 13th but the girls and I will stay in TX till they finish up the school year the last week of May.
We are pretty excited about this upcoming move… for I’ve always wanted to live in DC being the political junkie that I am. : )THere is so much to do, so much history and culture to see! We should stay in DC for 2-3 years at least. We still don’t know if Dan will be going to Iraq anytime soon, but I’ll be sure to update you when we find out anything
I’m a little under the weather right now so its just a quick post… our furniture and stuff gets here tomorrow so I need to get to bed! I’ll update more later this week.

Well we are finally in our house on the base…furniture comes on Tuesday morning. Last weekend we went out and bought some new bunkbeds for the girls. THey love them! THey each got to pick out the sheets that they wanted.. Kiersten got Hello Kitty and Becca got DOra. I was hoping they would get the same style but thats ok. Both sets are pink/purple so at least I can decorate there room in similiar colors.
Dan is doing well in school…it is just a very intense as he puts it. He is now Phase 5 +20 so he can live with us. (doesn’t need to stay in the barracks) His friend Seth spends a lot of time over here which is fine..I don’t mind. Seth doesn’t have any family around here, plus the kids love him. (he is from the Boston Area)
The talk radio show is coming along pretty well…just need to order some equipment and such. How did you like my audio post last time? Oh well I just wanted to try it and see what it was all about! See the banner at the top of the page…well that is the first official graphic for the show. (Thanks to my friend Tara Crooks)
I have a few other projects on tap this fall but I’ll tell ya about those more once I get them developed!
Have a great week!
