This past week was a crazy one, even for our family. It was also an eye-opening one.
You see, the latter part of this week was all about freindship , listening to your body and not taking things for granted .
A couple of days ago , one of my friends , an Army wive whose hubby is deployed, was having a medical emergency. She needed our help and we (Dan and I ) were more than happy to help and do what we could for her.
Afterall, what are friends for right??
It reminded me that we really need to listen to what our bodies are telling us. Pain is our body’s way of telling us something is not right. I think as women we tend to do this even more. We are always so busy taking care of our children, our spouses, our pets …. that we forget about ourselves. Shouldn’t we be just as important as everyone else?
So with that it is time for this blogger to get back on the exercise regiment I had before Dan came back from Afghanistan… running, doing the Wii Fit and biking. The key is working into into my already busy schedule.
Will you join me ??
You can follow my progress (and I hope you post yours too ) here on the blog and my Facebook fan page.

While it may be true women aren’t as in tune with our bodies, we eventually go in to see a dr., while men don’t due to “pride, embarrasment and ‘being a man.” (it’s ground into them), while women typically go in sooner because it’s ground into us that those around us are dependant on us.
My cousin recommended this blog and she was totally right keep up the fantastic work!
