If you keep up with me on Facebook, you’ll know at we had a VTC (Video TeleConference ) with SGT Daddy last night. It was so awesome to actually see his face for a change. Even though we talk regularly, (phone and IM) we rarely get to use the webcams, due to the crappy internet over there.
I hadn’t told the girls that where we were going or what we were doing so it was a complete surprise to them. They were so happy and so excited to talk to Daddy!

The video was the greatest in the world but none of us cared really. It was the first family “chat” we’ve had since SGT Daddy left this summer.
On the way home from dinner, both girls couldn’t stop talking about it. Becca commented ” how much I miss Daddy and watching Spongebob with him” and Kiersten said ” it felt like we were a real family again, Mom ”
So a BIG THANKS to the 704th BSB Rear D Command for organizing this !! You guys ROCK!!

very sweet. Perhaps there will be a greater appreciation of parents as this deployment completes. I was more grateful for my parents after I’d been “hemispherically impaired” – I simply “got” things I didn’t grasp before.
