The other day as SGT Daddy was packing for the Big D , we had the music on listening to the various eclectic mix known as our music. Then Miley Cyrus’ “The Climb” came on and we both said , “except for a few lines it seems like our situation”
There has always been songs that I’ve identified during different times in my life and this song is it for this deployment. It basically says how I feel about the BIG D.
I want it to go by super- fast and for it to be over. I know it won’t .. its going to take time. We are going to learn about all sorts of things during this experience. Some of it will be personal for each of us, some of it will be about our marriage and some of it will be as a family.
Either way – we’ll survive it and get through it all , step by step.
